Climate Response of the Year award 2024
Exmouth Town Council has been awarded the Climate Response of the Year Award 2024, in recognition of its exceptional commitment to tackling climate change and its many successful sustainable initiatives. The award was presented to Climate Officer Zoey Cooper at the House of Lords, who in her acceptance speech, encouraged all towns and councils to put climate and nature first.

ReFILL AND REUSE!
Exmouth is leading the war on waste with refill and reuse schemes like The Exmouth Cup – a reusable cup scheme that encourages customers to borrow and return a reusable, zero waste cup. Complimenting this effort, we are proud participants in the Refill Devon Scheme – an initiative aimed at reducing plastic waste. Visitors and locals can refill their water bottles at our premises, or various water refill stations, reducing the need to buy single-use plastic bottles.

There are plenty of carbon-conscious ways to get in and around Exmouth. The town is easily accessible by train or bus, with a scenic journey right into town.
