Exmouth Dinosaurs and Exmouth Town Council are bringing a day of free Dinosaur fun to Exmouth on Easter weekend.
Exmouth has a well-loved Dinosaur Trail through the town, featuring models, murals and etchings. Thousands of children (and adults!) enjoy this free trail every year.
This year there are some brand new additions to the trail, and a new updated map. To celebrate these new dinosaurs – including a 6 foot pterodactyl suspended from a tree! – there will be a day of free dinosaur and geology activities and trails.
Exmouth Dinosaur Trail is managed and maintained by volunteers with support from Exmouth Town Council, to inspire love for our ancient earth and its bygone inhabitants.
Join us for a dino-mite day in Exmouth, easily accessible by train, bus or bike.
WHAT’S ON
- Start the day with a Dinosaur Park Run at 9am from Orcombe Point. Run as inflatable dinosaur or in dinosaur themed outfit. Let’s get Exmouth seafront roaring with dinosaurs!

Head to Dinosaur Canyon (what3words – ///chips.income.comb) from 10am – 3pm where the following will be happening:
- Walkabout dinosaur entertainment
- Dinosaur ride (for a donation)
- Dress up as a dinosaur and have the chance to win the Dressing Up Competition!
- Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt – find them all and enter your answers to win a Tesco Easter bundle
- Dinosaur Quiz & Fossil Display by Jurassic Coast experts
- Dinosaur-themed Stalls
- Paint your own Exmouth Pottery Dinosaur @ Seadog Art Cafe
- Drawing Competition – with a prize of a family meal at the Bath House
- Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt – find even more dinosaurs around the town with a new trail launched on the day and on-going in the new Dinosaur Trail leaflet
- Hunt out the new dinosaur features in dinosaur canyon…and just have some dinosaur fun
The fancy dress competition is for 0 – 12 years at 12pm and 2pm … just turn up to the info tent in any dinosaur-related outfit, a prize to the tricera-top outfit
