Whether you’re visiting Exmouth for just a day, or for the whole half-term week, you’ll find plenty of great activities and events to keep you

Party in the Park, Manor Gardens, Exmouth (26th – 28th May) 

Unfortunately, ‘Manorfest’, the much-loved event held at Manor Gardens in Exmouth has retired, but the good news is that it’s made way for a new event which promises to be bigger and better.  

Party in the Park is a free event with a wide range of activities, workshops and a huge selection of food and drink. You can expect to hear live music pumping from the park all over Exmouth with a family-friendly vibe all-round.  

Exmouth Beach Rugby & Netball Fest, Exmouth Beach, Exmouth (26th – 29th May) 

Entering its second year, Exmouth Beach Rugby & Netball Fest promises a weekend of fun, sport and entertainment for the whole family.  

Kicking off on the Friday is the team’s registration, followed by a launch party with local band Kiss This playing in the evening. Saturday will see the tag rugby and netball tournaments with evening entertainment from band Missin Links. On Sunday the tournaments continue before awards, celebration drinks and live music from The New Hero’s. It’ll certainly be a bank holiday to remember! 

Take a Chance on Us – ABBA, Exmouth Pavilion, Exmouth (26th May) 

Calling all ABBA fans, we have the perfect event for you! Enjoy an evening of all the classic ABBA hits performing by Take A Chance On Us, one of the best ABBA tribute bands in the UK.   

Sing your heart out and dance the night away like a true Dancing Queen. The performers bring energy and fun to the stage, along with a few surprises, that will ensure you will have a fantastic night to remember. Head to Exmouth Pavilion on Friday 26th May for this fantastic event.  

Powderham Outdoor Cinema, Powderham Castle, Kenton (27th – 31st May) 

Returning to the Castle grounds this bank holiday weekend is the Powderham Outdoor Cinema! 

Grab your deck chairs, blankets and your popcorn and enjoy the fantastic selection of films backed by the stunning Powderham estate. Grease, The Greatest Showman, Elvis, Top Gun and Dirty Dancing are the films you can choose to watch, plus if you fancy going all out, best fancy dress wins a prize! 

Budleigh Gala Week, Budleigh Salterton (27th May – 4th June) 

Held Saturday 27th May – Sunday 4th June, Budleigh Salterton’s Gala week, hosted by the Budleigh Salterton Lions Club, looks to be jam-packed with plenty of fun activities to keep the whole family entertained.  

Big breakfasts, dog shows, competitions, art shows, fancy dress, swimming, arts and crafts, bingo, film screenings and family quizzes can be expected during the week, plus plenty more activities for the entire family to take part in. 

Dirty Money at The Bike & Classic Car Show, The Park Hotel, Exmouth (27th May) 

Head down to The Park Hotel for Exmouth’s Bike and Classic Car Show on Saturday 27th May. Live music will be brought to you by local band, Dirty Money, alongside a late night disco, food and refreshments, a live auction, children’s activities and much more!  

This event is in aid of raising vital funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, so not only will you have an enjoyable day out, you’ll also be doing something good too! 

Dinosaur Adventure Tram, Seaton Tramway, Seaton (28th May) 

Head to Seaton Tramway and help Professor Percival the Palaeontologist uncover the secrets of a land that time forgot and fulfil a mission to make contact with some forgotten species. 

 Located further down the Jurassic Coast, Seaton Tramway operates heritage trams along the stunning Axe Estuary. Families and children are sure to enjoy this adventurous dino-filled tram ride with music, stories, fossil dig and activity area at Colyton Station!  

Tickets for this event are recommended to be purchased in advance.  

Nine Odd Notes and Ian Boyd at The Bank & No. 9, Exmouth (Sunday 28th May) 

The Bank is one of the longest and best run pubs in Exmouth with a friendly & fun atmosphere and good quality food served daily at reasonable prices!  

The Nine Odd Notes are a 9-piece band, who have been together for over 10 years, playing R&B, Ska and Soul Funk, with a little twist. They’ll be performing at The Bank & No. 9 from 3pm on the bank holiday Sunday.  

Catch local musician Ian Boyd here afterwards from 6pm. The former X-Factor and Stars in their Eyes contestant has a whole host of songs in his setlist. With something for the whole family, this seasoned professional is sure to have you singing along. You can also catch Ian Boyd on Friday 2nd June at the York Inn from 9:30pm. 

Day Trip to Sidmouth, Stuart Line Cruise, Exmouth Marina (Tuesday 30th May) 

Sail across Lyme Bay from Exmouth to Sidmouth with Stuart Line Cruises and enjoy a day out at this beautiful regency town. Sailing from Exmouth Marina, take time to relax as you travel along the Jurassic Coast, taking in all the sights and sounds of Britain’s only Natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Landing onto the pebbled beach at Sidmouth you will have around 3 hours ashore to explore the gardens, cafes, beaches and shops before returning back to Exmouth just after 5.00pm. 

Frozen by Centre Stage, Blackmore Theatre, Exmouth (31st – May – 3rd June) 

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical which was adapted by the Disney film, the Centre stage Juniors, aged 8 – 11, will be performing a fantastic 60-minute show of Frozen 

Bringing Elsa, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage, the show will feature the popular songs from the animated modern classic film.  

There will be four evening shows running from Wednesday 31st May to Saturday 3rd June with a matinee on Saturday afternoon. 

Day Trip to Torquay or Brixham, Stuart Line Cruises, Exmouth (1st June) 

Each Thursday during the Summer Stuart Line Cruises organise exciting boat trips to the stunning English Riviera.   

Sail along the beautiful South Devon coastline into Torbay and choose to explore the seaside resort of Torquay, complete with beautiful beaches, amusement arcades and high street shops, or disembark at Brixham, the colourful fishing port town and idyllic harbour side.   

This cruise is the perfect way to experience these popular South Devon towns without having to think about the drive or the parking – just cruise along and enjoy the fabulous views, then hop back on the boat to return to Exmouth. 

Jive Talking, Exmouth Pavilion, Exmouth (27th May) 

If you’re a fan of the Bee Gees, you’re going to love this!  

Renowned as the original and very best Bee Gees tribute show, and THE ONLY Bee Gees tribute show that has actually performed with the original band, catch Jive Talking at Exmouth Pavilion on Saturday 27th May.  

One Night in Dublin, Exmouth Pavilion, Exmouth (2nd June) 

Don your finest green and head to Exmouth Pavilion for an evening of plenty of craic with a special One Night in Dublin show.  

The multi-award-winning Irish band The Wild Murphys features the very best Irish musicians playing a thrilling mix of traditional and contemporary tunes guaranteed to have the audience’s hands clapping and toes tapping all night long.  

Live Music Night, Sea Dog Art, Exmouth (2nd & 4th June) 

Art gallery and coffee shop, Sea Dog Art is a vibrant and independent business located in the heart of Exmouth. For the first time they’re trialling live music nights at the gallery on Friday 2nd and Sunday 4th June.  

 Art, wine, cocktails and more can be enjoyed here. Guy Somerfield will be performing on Friday, followed by Joe Whibley on Sunday. Head down for an evening of wholesome fun. 

 

Charity Fundraising Event & Music from Conscious Club, Ocean, Exmouth (2nd June) 

After the successful charity event in May 2022, Ocean have decided host it again this year, with the hope that they can raise much needed funds for both The Fire Fighters Charity and Cancer Charity Force. All the while enjoying a wonderful evening with family and friends. 

Live music performed by Conscious Club playing a mix of modern and classic pop/funk. Tickets for this event cost just £30 per person which includes an evening buffest on the top floor and they must be bought on their website prior to the event. 

 

English Riviera Air Show with Stuart Line Cruises, Exmouth Marina (3rd & 4th June) 

It’s a known fact that watching the English Riviera Air show is best done from the water so why not book tickets to set sail and watch it on-board a Stuart Line Cruise.  

Set sail along South Devon’s dramatic coastline to the English Riviera Geopark for what promises to be a spectacular air show! Avoid the crowds and remove the stress of having to find a parking space with a trip with Stuart Line Cruises.  

This all-day cruise will depart from Exmouth Marina and plans to drop anchor in Torbay to watch the air show. On board is a fully licensed bar which will be available throughout the cruise, serving a wide range of drinks and snacks. But you’re more than welcome to bring a packed lunch with you if you’re interested in saving some pennies.  

Please note that you will be on the boat for the duration.  

Exmouth Repair Café, Exmouth Methodist Church, Littlemead, Exmouth (3rd June) 

Have you got a much-loved item which needs a bit of TLC? Why not take it down to the Repair Café at Exmouth Methodist Church on Saturday 3rd June.  

 The aim of the Repair Café is to help people save money, not only by repairing old items but also passing on skills to fix their own items in the future. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. You can also get inspired at the reading table – by leafing through books on repairs and DIY. 

K2 at The Park Hotel, Exmouth (3rd June) 

Based in the South West of England, K2 have played to audiences all across England and never fail to give a great night’s entertainment.  

Covering artists such as Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Bryan Adams, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Foo Fighters, and AC/DC, all the classic rock songs you love are likely to be in the set. 

 They’ll be performing at The Park Hotel on Saturday 3rd June from 9pm.  

Raw Ambition at Famous Old Barrel, Exmouth (3rd June) 

Powerful five-piece rock band, Raw Ambition, consists of duelling twin lead guitars, solid rhythm section and soulful vocals.   

Playing a great blend of covers from artists such as Kings of Leon, Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, Killers, Billy Idol, The Clash and more. 

Catch Raw Ambition at Famous Old Barrel, a fantastic live music venue and old school pub. 

New Heros at The Bank & No. 9, Exmouth (4th June) 

New Heros aren’t only performing at the Exmouth Beach Rugby & Netball Fest this half term week, you can also catch them at The Bank & No. 9 on Sunday 4th June.  

This band are a high energy 4-piece band performing a constantly changing set list so you can see them time and again and never know what they’ll play next! Expect something a bit different from the usual with songs from U2, The Who, Killers, Elton, Muse, Jamiroquai, Queen and a whole load of party classics to ensure your evening will not be forgotten.
