More information:

Discover the hidden side of Exmouth on an evening ghost walk exploring the town’s historic heart, coastal heritage, folklore, darker chapters and accounts of the unexplained.

Often associated with leisure and the sea, Exmouth also has a lesser-known past shaped by faith, expansion, loss, superstition and changing fortunes. Its historic streets, churches and quieter corners offer an atmospheric setting for stories that linger beyond the daylight hours.

Guided by an Extours host, you’ll hear researched accounts of unusual events, enduring legends and reported encounters connected to some of Exmouth’s most historic locations — uncovering a side of the town rarely explored by visitors.

Guests may choose to take part in optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools, or simply enjoy the storytelling and atmosphere as the walk progresses.

We avoid gimmicks and jump scares. Our approach is thoughtful and immersive, aiming to intrigue rather than terrify by exploring the unanswered questions woven into Exmouth’s past.

Age Guidance

  • Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+).

  • Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience.

  • Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks.

Weather

Walks run in most conditions. If severe weather makes the event unsafe, the walk will be postponed and an alternative date offered.

Rooted in local history and authentic storytelling, the Exmouth Ghost Walk offers a distinctive way to experience the town — revealing the stories and mysteries that remain after dark.
